Road bases come in a range of different grading along with the option for natural or recycled. Depending on the scale of your job the grading of the road base needed can vary. Here at Matthew Wilson Transport we offer a wide range of Road bases.
19mm Scalps is produced as a 19mm down to fines material. It typically contains quite sharp and angular stones, less fines compared with blended roadbases and less moisture also. It is ideal as a low cost alternative to our blended roadbase products.
Still blended utilising the same processes as Type 2.1 and to the same high standard. The main difference when compared to Type 2.1 is its manufacture from more weathered rock. Colour is typically browner than Type 2.1 and has more plasticity making it easier to work and compact than its higher grade equivalent.
Road base made from the freshest rock. Colour varies from almost black when wet to bright grey when dry. This product is blended through a pugmill plant to ensure a consistently high quality product is produced.
Crusher Dust comes in two different forms natural and recycled.
Crusher Dust is recycled concrete fines compacting material which is perfect and used under concrete slabs.
Crusher Dust is the dust leftover from the screening process. It is ideal and cheaper alternative for under concrete slabs.
Decomposed Granite (Deco) comes from from a type of granitic rock which, when weathered, crumbles into a coarse sandy material combined with finer particles down to silt size and some clay.
